Kitty Obstetrician
Assisted a stray cat give birth to the last of her litter of three tonight. I guess it was her first time giving birth. Earlier, she was crying in pain and two other kitties were crying with her and they were pretty noisy, I knew something was wrong. I went outside looking where the noise was coming from and found a cat with 2 kittens rolling in blood and amniotic fluid beside her and another...

Pescetarianism
I completely eliminated rice off my diet for 3 months now. I’m gradually shifting to a pescetarian diet then hopefully go vegetarian/vegan. Yay to me!
I made myself grilled fish and kangkong salad for brunch. We got lots of kangkong/water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) growing in the garden so I grabbed a bunch and boiled it, added tomatoes and green chilis and added calamansi juice, a bit...

Sammich Brunch
I made this sandwich for brunch today: turkey sausage sandwich with caramelized onions and chili. Watching the chief justice say his piece at the impeachment court.

Homemade Anti-Itch Dog Spray
I have a master’s degree in structured procrastination. Gaaah. I just finished making Pugly a bottle of anti-itch spray that contains aloe vera, sage, and epsom salt.

Forever Young
Made this collage when I should be working and worrying about the video that I haven’t started working on. Gaaah. I am tired and the emotions are building up.
I can’t believe it’s almost two years since you unexpectedly left. Time has become a pretty vague concept to me. I’ve come to believe that time is not linear. I’ve a feeling it’s subjective. Your death...

Turtles All The Way Down
Almost 4 hours of reading non-stop. Reviewing a couple of related literature. Thinking of rewriting my project proposal that’s why I have to read.
Took a break and cleaned the turtles’ tanks and their shells. My turtles turn 10 this year. Duhwain and I were planning to bring them with us if ever we migrate somewhere else. Now, I’m left alone with them. When the turtles...

Flower Power
Made a flower hair piece while catching up on my TV shows. Finished work quite early today but didn’t have the gusto to start making the video. Gaaah. I need to stop pressuring myself.
Anyway, I’m liking the flower hair accessory. Happy with it. I think it’s pretty.

Headbandanna
I should be sleeping. Have to wake up early tomorrow, rather later, because I have to work and then have to get started on my About video but here I am posting about the headband I just finished sewing.
Sleep steals a lot of time from us. I am aware of the fact, too, that we need it so the body can function well. I wish sleep came in a form of food supplement. You just pop a pill and...
Bifidude
Proposal’s finally done. Waiting for recommendations and approval. I have to make an “about” video, too. That would take some time. Ack.

Weedle and Needle
Sew-terday. Reconstructed some of dead boyfriend’s shirts into dresses. I should be focusing on my FundaGeek project but that can always wait.
I feel like a walking memorial of him haha. I ain’t complaining though.

Gay Beatle
In the middle of a GC-MS problem and was in a state of confuzzlement. Result: a helmet-head gay Beatle.
Can’t wait to grow this stupidity out.
Impulsive decision. Especially on one’s hair is always always regrettable. Every time I impulsively chop my hair off, that’s the immediate lesson I learn but I never seem to retain that.

Stuffed Pork Chop
Man, that sounds so sexy. I would like to eat your stuffed pork chop, sir. Hahaha. Sadly, the stuffed pork chop I’m talking about is this:
Pork chop stuffed with mango bits, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and cheese. One meal a day laziness.

Gaying it out on a Saturday. Made a couple of home made face products. Just because.

Refreshing. You can now eat my face.

Say It Ain't Sew Hoo Woaah Woaahhh!
I totally went bonkers over sewing stuff yesterday. I worked from 10 in the morning ‘til 8 in the evening (of course I ate in between) and started sewing after that ‘til 6 in the morning. And now my head hurts. But it’s all good. Brain reward systems, activated!
Guess I have to sleep now.

Ballooniverse
Because the mind is a universe of its own and it gives birth to multiverses through language.
There are many planes of perception. The world, as we know it, is hooked to one, one that is defined by mass culture. Multiverses exist in the different meanings of language. A word is a universe of its own but in an utterance of a word, we convey multiple meanings. Thought comes alive through language...

Sewing Deschanel
An Instagram friend posted a photo of pretty fabrics earlier and it sent me on an inspiration frenzy and had me sewing after almost two years.
When Duhwain died, I died. And everything I used to enjoy I had a hard time enjoying. I guess I’m slowly gaining myself back. The thought that I’m recovering saddens me. It’s sad that I can continue living without him and I...

Philosopug and Bath Time
I always love to take photos of my little man when he’s about to take a bath or when he’s bathing. I love capturing the moments of his serious contemplative state.
What are you thinking about, little pug? Are you aware of your existence? Is life hard? Do you think about death? Do you love me?
Mommy loves you very much. And I want to communicate that badly to you.

Guimaras Islands
A friend, now living and working in Manila, came home for the weekend and we spent our Saturday island hopping in Guimaras. We went to 4 small islands and explored a cave.
The island province is known for its mangoes and in its Wikipedia entry, it says that Guimaras is known for “producing the sweetest mangoes in the world”. I don’t know if that claim is true. But, yeah, the...

So, I have a deadline to beat. April 1st. I have to pass my proposal for an international grant contest I’ve been preparing for since April 2011. But instead, look at what I’m doing! Gaaah.

Draw Something
Man, I’m addicted. I’m glad that my interest in games just stretch for one week though. Two weeks is the most. The rewarding feelings I get for playing video games cannot sustain me to continually feel good about myself. I get more kick from solving problems or understanding a concept or reading. But since drawing is involved in this game (and I love to draw!), I might really get...

Chorizo Tocino Shrimp Paste Mango Pasta
I find shrimp paste really addicting. I almost put shrimp paste in everything I eat. Not all the time though. Mostly happens when I’m ovulating haha.
In Filipino cuisine, mango always goes well with shrimp paste. Good appetizing combo.
For dinner, I took this idea to the pasta level, adding chorizo and tocino to the mix. It was absolutely delicious!

Hey, Nostradamus!
Woooh! Went bookhunting today and found Douglas Coupland’s Hey Nostradamus! for only Php127.00 and Jeff Kanipe’s Chasing Hubble’s Shadows for only Php115.00. Pretty sick deal.
Most excited about the Coupland book. Been a fan since I got Eleanor Rigby as a Valentine’s Day gift from Duhwain (dead boyfriend also known as Mipmip/Bibigok/Hemster) in 2006. I’ve always...

Sleepy Pugly
I had to put the wee one up on a chair to stop distracting me from work. Doesn’t he just look so adorable?
I love how convenient his depth perception problem is to me. Of course, I diagnosed that. Haha. He had an eye injury when he was just 4 months old. He hit his eye when he jumped off the bed and his lens leaked out and his eye had to be sewn shut for days. Gaaaaah. Remembering that...

Star Apple
Currently snacking on star apple/milk fruit (Chrysophyllum cainito). This has got to be one of my favorite fruits.
Every time I eat a star apple, I see myself walking in my grandpa’s backyard and I can smell 1991. The summer before I became a 1st grader. That was the first time I ate a star apple. Aaaah.

Sieg Heil Mein Meöwhrer!
I took a kitty home today. Was walking when I saw one on the side of the road. Someone probably threw her out or her mom abandoned her. I like her cos she looks like Hitler with her black stripe on top of her lip. Thinking of naming her Kitler but there are just too many kitlers going around the internet. Have to contemplate on this kitty’s name.
I don’t think I should be letting...

Miss Sir Francis Bacon
Saw a cute photo of a pig today and remembered my Sir Francis Bacon. She was my beloved pet pig whom my mom ordered to get killed and roasted. It was a hurtful day and I stopped speaking to my mom for a while. What a cruel woman.
She was such a smart pet. She had her own cage but I’d put her in our lab retriever’s cage so they can socialize. She’d imitate Laverne’s (our...

Sea Jelly Sting
Taking photos of my jellyfish-stung fingers. This is what I get from swimming in Puerto Galera’s White Beach. It was hella itchy when I got stung and it kinda hurt. It’s finally starting to heal and the sting has turned dark.
